About this tool
Open an .xlsx, .xls, .ods or .csv file and work on it the way you would in Excel: click a cell and type to fill it in or change it, and use formulas like SUM, AVERAGE, IF, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP and SUMIFS — more than 400 functions — which recalculate as you type. Format cells with bold, colours, borders, alignment and number formats such as currency, percentages and dates. Insert and delete rows and columns, sort, freeze the heading row, find and replace, and work across several sheets. Save back to Excel with your formatting kept, or as CSV or PDF. Files with charts, pivot tables or macros keep them: only the cells you change are written into your original file, and everything else is saved exactly as it was.

Questions
Can I edit an Excel file without Microsoft Excel?
Yes. Open it here in any browser, change what you need, and save it back as .xlsx. The file opens normally in Excel, Google Sheets, Numbers and LibreOffice.
Will my formulas still work?
Yes. Formulas are kept and recalculated as you edit, and Excel recalculates them again when you open the saved file. A few rarely used functions may show #NAME? here but still work in Excel.
Will my charts, pivot tables and macros be kept?
Yes. They can't be edited here, but they're kept: when your file has them, only the cells you change are written into it, and everything else stays exactly as it was. Excel recalculates the formulas and refreshes pivot tables when you open the file. In these files, rows, columns and sheets can't be added or removed here.
Is my spreadsheet uploaded?
No. It's opened and saved by your browser on your own device, so private data such as salaries or customer lists stays with you.
