About this tool
Phone photos are often 3–10 MB each — too big for email, forms and websites. Drop as many as you like, choose a quality and a largest size, and Timesnap re-saves them in seconds, showing each photo's size before and after. Photos that are already small are kept as they are rather than made bigger. The new copies also leave out hidden details such as the location and camera, which is safer for sharing. Download them one by one or all together in a zip.
- Many photos at once, with before/after sizes
- Quality and size control; WebP for the smallest files
- Never makes a photo bigger
- Removes location and camera details from the copies
Questions
How do I reduce a photo's size for email?
Choose a largest side of 1920 px and quality around 75%. Most phone photos drop from several MB to a few hundred KB and still look sharp.
Will compressing make my photos blurry?
At 70–85% quality and 1920–2560 px, the difference is very hard to see on screens. Lower settings make smaller files with some softness.
Are my photos uploaded to a server?
No. They're compressed by your browser on your own device, so they stay completely private.
