PDF and photo tools

The PDF editor and every PDF and photo tool on timesnap.info/pdf work entirely in your browser. Your files are opened, changed and saved on your own device. They are never uploaded to us or to anyone else, and we never see them. Passwords you type to lock or unlock a PDF stay on your device too.

Checking a photo

When you check a Timesnap photo on the main page, its fingerprint (or, for a copy, the photo itself) is sent to Timesnap's checker so it can be compared with the record made when the photo was taken. Photos sent for checking are compared and then discarded: they are not stored or logged. The checking page has no ads and no third-party scripts.

Ads

The PDF tools are free because they show ads from Google AdSense. Google and its partners may use cookies or similar technology to show ads, measure them, and — where you allow it — make them more relevant to you, based on your visits to this and other websites. In the UK, the EU and some other places, you are asked for your choice before personalised ads are used, and you can change it at any time.

Your Timesnap app account

The Timesnap camera app has its own app privacy policy, and both are covered by the Terms of Use. The app keeps the proof records of the photos you take with it under an anonymous account. You can delete that account, and everything kept with it, at any time: see Delete your account.
