About this tool
Open any PDF and work on top of its pages: type new text, place photos and logos, draw with a pen or highlighter, add arrows, boxes and ticks, or cover something with white-out. To change words that are already in the document, choose Edit text and click a line: Timesnap covers the old words in the page's own colour and puts an editable copy in a matching size and weight on top. The original pages keep their quality because they are copied as they are, not turned into pictures.
- Change existing text line by line with Edit text
- Pages, pages' text and links are kept as they were
- Add pages from other PDFs or photos, reorder and delete pages
- Works with password-protected PDFs once you enter the password
Questions
Can I change text that is already in my PDF?
Yes, line by line. Choose Edit text and click the line you want to change. The old words are covered in the page's own colour and replaced by an editable copy. The covered words may still be found by copy or search in the saved file, so don't rely on it to hide private information.
Does editing reduce the quality of my PDF?
No. Your original pages are copied into the new file unchanged; what you add is drawn on top as real text, vector shapes and your photos.
Can I edit a scanned PDF?
You can add text, signatures, photos and white-out on top of a scan. Changing the scanned words themselves isn't possible, because a scan is a picture with no text in it.
